As you will notice, in true Liga MX fashion, there is only one outright favorite this week. America is the only favorite at -167 against Juarez. Every other game is offering great chances to win, so if you’re still tentative about betting, this may be a good week to dip your toes in the water.

This week, I’m going with El Rebaño to get their first win of the season vs. San Luis at +140, Santos to continue their current form versus Mazatlan at +130, Toluca will get their second win of the season against Necaxa at +115, UNAM should continue to win against Queretaro at +155, Tigres will end Cocca’s time at Atlas for their second win at +110, and I’ll go with the oddsmakers and take favorite America over a rebuilding Bravos squad at -167.
From their tweet last week, it seems I wasn’t the only one who got on the Mazatlan hype train, as their Twitter account was looking to cash in the form they showed in their first game. This week my upset pick is Xolos (+235) to get their first victory in five games against a surprising Puebla team that has yet to taste defeat this campaign, even after games against Chivas and La Maquina.
