Chicharito’s 2 goals lead West Ham’s comeback
Chicharito put on the superhero cape and came off the bench in the second half to overturn a game that West ham was losing 3-1 and ended up winning 4-3.
The Hammers came into this game as the favorites over Huddersfield Town, the last place in Premier League.
West Ham took the advantage early in the game when at minute 15 Manuel Lanzini was knocked down in the penalty area. Mark Noble converted the penalty with a right footed shot to the center of the goal.
The Hammers fans weren’t even finished celebrating when at minute 17 Juninho Bacuna scored the equalizer with a header from the center of the box to the bottom left corner following a corner kick by Aaron Mooy.
Huddersfield Town’s Karlan Grant left footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner following a set piece situation and put his team ahead on the game 2-1.
The Hammers fans were upset at the end of the first half and sent their team players to the locker rooms with boos. The beginning of the second half didn’t look very promising for West Ham, and Huddersfield made them look bad when they increased their lead with a third goal by Karlan Grant from outside the box to the top right corner.
Many fans were furious to see their team being humiliated at home by the last place in the standings and began to exit the stadium. Angelo Ogbonna brought West Ham back to life with 15 minutes remaining in the game, with a header to put the game 2 – 3.
The remaining of the game turned into the Chicharito show. The super-sub tied the game with a “palomita” from the center of the box to the bottom right corner, with six minutes remaining in the match.
In stoppage time, the Little Pea did it again and with another header pushed the ball into the back of the net. Fifteen minutes were enough for Chichadios to get the glory and become the man of the match.
