Chucky scores in Serie A debut but comeback bid falls short
Hirving El Chucky Lozano scored once again during his debut, this time for Napoli versus Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus in a Serie A showdown.
Carlo Ancelotti brought in Chucky Lozano to start the second half after his team fell behind by two goals. Ronaldo added one more goal for the Italian giants when he scored in the 62nd minute.
Lozano and Napoli decided to fire on all cylinders after falling behind 3-0 and quickly got one back when Kostas Manolas scored in the 66th minute. Two minutes later, Chucky would score a goal of his via a cross from Piotr Zielinski. Lozano made a nice run inside the box and was able to capitalize the perfectly timed ball from Zielinski.
In the 81st minute, Giovanni Di Lorenzo would tie things for Napoli on a goal from a set-piece and nearly complete the comeback. However, in stoppage time, on another set-play, Kalidou Koulibaly deflected the ball into his own goal to Juventus the 4-3 victory.
Despite the loss, Napoli fans should be thrilled of the immediate impact that Lozano made the moment he stepped into the field. The Mexican was dynamic and a game-changer for the team from Naples. If there’s anything to take from today’s game is that former Pachuca player did nothing but impress Ancelotti.
Another thing to point out is today Lozano scored for the fourth time in a debut. He scored on his debut with Pachuca, in the World Cup, PSV and today with Napoli.
