Jimenez and Wolves escape with a draw vs. mighty Manchester United
Raul Jimenez and the Wolverhampton Wanderers were able to score a significant result against an adamant Manchester United. The Wolves tied for the second consecutive game after being down 1-0 at the end of the first half.
The Mexican star played the entire game and had several opportunities to score. RJ9’s most evident opportunity came in the 54th minute of the game when his header attempt following a João Moutinho cross hit the post.
Wolverhampton was lucky to get the result. Following Rúben Neves’ brilliant game-tying goal midway through the second half, United found themselves with another chance to take the lead following a penalty call in their favor.
Paul Pogba, however, was unable to convert after being denied by Rui Patricio and gave the home team some breathing room.
The last 20 minutes of the game saw both teams vying for the victory. In the end, neither team was able to score. Which means we will have to wait for another match for Jimenez to get his first goal of the season.
Up next for the Wolves is a Europa League matchup on Thursday versus Italian squad Torino then they’ll play Burnley on the road on Sunday.
