Jimenez leads Wolverhampton into Europa League Group Stage
Raul Jimenez continues to do what he does best: score goals! The Mexican star scored for Wolverhampton once again during his team’s 2-1 victory over Italian squad Torino. RJ9 continues to delight the crowd at Molineux stadium and has now scored his second goal in as many home games.
Jimenez scored in the 30th minute of the game on a cross from Adama Traoré. Raul had positioned himself in the perfect spot and managed to tap the ball into the goal as he appeared to be falling.
The goal put Wolves up 4-2 in the aggregate, but in the second half, Torino got one back. Andrea Belotti put the Italians down just one goal, knowing that another could extend their European dream.
One minute later, Wolverhampton would answer. Leander Dendoncker scored on a rebound following the brilliant save by Salvatore Sirigu. The goal put the English team up 5-3 which would seal the deal and give them a ticket to the group stage of the Europa League.
Jimenez and the Wolves will learn who will be their opponents tomorrow when UEFA holds the drawn for the Europa League group stage.
