Liga MX Rankings: Week 10
Here are this week’s Liga MX Rankings. Who did we miss? Let us know in the comments!
5. FC Juarez
No one talks about FC Juarez but we certainly will. We have to give them some credit for gaining those three points against Veracruz. It may not seem like much of a victory since they defeated the worst team in Mexico but it is important for them. After all, they are fighting against ‘el descenso’.
4. Pachuca
Pachuca has had average performances that have made it hard for some of us when it comes to the ETO quinela. This past week, they found won at home against Xolos. Although they sit in 12th place, they aren’t too far off from moving up the standings, that’s if they find the rhythm they need to keep on winning.
3. Monarcas
It was a dramatic game against Chivas on Friday night, but it was Monarcas who found the victory. Mario Osuna’s penalty and Sebastian Sosa’s blocks helped take down Guadalajara by the minimum of 1-0 in Morelia. With four wins in their last five games, we are sure to see them back in our rankings.
2. Leon
Leon currently has the most goals (23) in the Apertura after a 4-2 win against Necaxa thanks to a hat-trick from Ismael Sosa and a goal by Angel Mena. As they close in on to become the leader of the standings, they certainly do enough damage in any field they play. Atlas will know this upcoming week.
1. Santos Laguna
It’s no surprise to see Los Laguneros on our list again and at the top of the Liga MX table. After defeating Atletico San Luis, 3-2, Santos is one of the most effective teams. Especially with their top scorer Julio Furch at eight goals this season and not to mention Brian Lozano with six goals and four assists, they are the best duo in the league.
