LIGA MX Round 5: Friday Night Doubleheader

Friday night in Liga MX kicks off with a doubleheader: Puebla vs. Pachuca and Atlas vs. Cruz Azul. Here’s a preview of how the teams are looking ahead of the fifth round.
Puebla vs. Pachuca
Four teams have yet to win a game this season, two of them are Puebla and Pachuca. Los Camoteros and Los Tuzos will battle it out at Estadio Cuauhtémoc in search of their first three points. Both teams are currently at the bottom of the standings with one point each. Sanchez’s squad must take advantage of being the local team. Kick-off is set for 7 PM CT.
Atlas vs. Cruz Azul
Altas will host Cruz Azul at Estadio Jalisco at 9 PM CT. With a record of 3-0-1, Los Rojinegros are currently fifth in the standings and will look to remain up top for a chance to qualify into the Liguilla. Meanwhile, Los Cementeros are in tenth place with only one win. Caixinha‘s men have had an unconvincing start, they tied 0-0 and 1-1 against Necaxa(11th) and Toluca(18th) and fell 3-0 against Queretaro(2nd) in Week 3. They recently earned their first win against FC Juárez last Saturday.
