LIGA MX WEEK 17 MONEY LINES, ODDS, AND PICKS
Liga MX is entering its most exciting phase, as we are now in the last week of the regular season and La Liguilla is far from set. Going into week 17, only La Maquina and America have secured the top two spots. Every other position is up for grabs, so every team aside from FC Juarez and Necaxa have something to play for. (San Luis is playing to avoid “relegation”).
The Odds:
The Odds this week are in the favor of the away squads, with five away teams and only four home teams being favored. Toluca @ Juarez and Tigres @ Chivas are the closest games to call, while Leon, Monterrey, and Santos are heavily favored in their matchups.
The Money Lines:
Here are the Money Lines according to DraftKing on 4/27/21.
The Money Lines also have Monterrey, Cruz Azul, Santos and Leon as heavily favored. El Rebaño has a negative line this week. Six visiting squads have positive money lines, so there is a lot of money to be made this week.
My Parlay:
Yet again, the perfect parlay steered clear of me as I went a horrid 2 for4 last week. America, Santos, Puebla, and Leon did me dirty with only Xolos and La Maquina coming through. This week I’m taking teams with the most to gain and two favorites.
Pachuca needs a win and a Mazatlan loss to sneak into the Liguilla; I’m taking Los Tuzos@+100.
La Academia need a win to avoid “relegation” and keep their spot in the Liguilla. They have not won in the past three games, but Cocca’s men should come through. I’ll take Atlas@-125.
Los Diablos are coming off an emphatic win against America, and can leap into the 5th position with a win @ lowley FC Juarez. I’ll take Toluca@+140.
A loss this week would put Tigres’ playoff hopes in jeopardy, but if last week’s match was any indication, playing for El Tuca in his final year as UANL manager may be the motivation this team needs to make a run. Chivas has had a string of good performances, and may be getting hot at the right time, but Tigres puts an end to their streak; give me UANL@+190.
The reigning champions are in the hunt for a first round bye as they host a Queretaro team that will look to hold on to the 11th position. Leon at home is my pick @-182.
As I mentioned before, Cruz Azul will hold onto the top spot no matter what, so they may look to rest their starters in between their CONCACAF Champions League Quarter Finals against Toronto. Xolos needs a win and a few results to slip into the playoffs. I’ll take Xolos@+315 in the upset.
With this 6-game Parlay our traditional $20 wager will result in a $3223.45 payout. Not too shabby. Hopefully this is the week I catch my Parlay Unicorn!
