Marco Fabian scores late in Philly Loss

The Philadelphia Union lost a lopsided affair against NYCFC on MLS Decision Day. The Union will head into the playoffs as the 3rd seed and will host the NY Red Bulls at home later this month.

Mexican international Marco Fabian scored the Union’s lone goal from the penalty spot. Fabian came on as a substitute at the 60th minute and delivered a goal late in the game. The goal marked Marco Fabian’s 6th goal of the campaign.

The MLS playoffs will provide a test for Fabian and the Union. Fabian’s performance in the 22 games he’s played has been lukewarm. It does not help the fact that the Union have stumbled as of late after a strong start. Will the Union be able to recover and make some noise in the Eastern Conference? It remains to be seen.
