Napoli Scoreless Against Torino
Napoli was looking to make up ground in the leader board today but fell short with a 0-0 tie against Torino. Hirving “Chucky” Lozano started for The Blues and contributed in several plays throughout the match. In true Lozano fashion, he created dangerous breakaways that caught the defense, and also his teammates, off guard. In the 39th minute, he took a ball and quickly dribbled to the opponent’s net all alone and without a teammate in sight. The combination of Chucky and Dries Mertens on the attack has created numerous heart-pounding plays within inches of scoring. Chucky was subbed in the 61st minute for José Callejón by coach Carlo Ancelotti, giving the Gli Azzurri a new look.
Unfortunately for Napoli they could not capitalize and finished the match with one point despite their statistical domination. Torino has only won one of their last 14 Series A games against Napoli.
Next Match: Napoli – Sat., October 19th against Verona (Serie A) and Turino – Sun., October 20th against Udinese (Serie A).
