Tecatito Corona and FC Porto start the season with a loss
Jesus “Tecatito” Corona played fifty-eight minutes in the 1-2 away loss against Gil Vicente at the start of the Portuguese League. Alex Telles made the only goal for ‘Los Dragones’ while Lourency and Bozhidar Kraev scored to secure the home victory.
It was a 0-0 draw in the first half with strong possession and scoring opportunities by Porto on the home team. Corona was substituted out in the 58th minutes, and two minutes later, Gil Vicente took advantage after a lost ball in the midfield for a counterattack. Lourency put his team up 1-0 with a good shot and the first goal Marchesin concedes in the league.
The referee called a penalty in favor of Porto after a handball inside the penalty area from one of Gil Vicente’s defender, and Alex Trelles did the honors to equalize in the 73rd minute.
But the draw didn’t last long for the away team after Bozhidar Kraev received the ball in the goalie’s box and kicked it right on the right corner of the goal in the 77th minute. Porto then saved themselves from the third goal almost two minutes later, but Marchesin was able to block it.
Porto with a 1-0 lead hosts FC Krasnodar in Portugal in the Champions League in the third qualifying round of leg 2.
