Top 5 Goals in LAFC History
LAFC as a club has a short history, but it’s already jam packed with impressive games, records and players. Here at ETO we have chosen the top 5 goals that have helped write this story.
5. Diego Rossi vs Seattle. March 4, 2018
Diego Rossi scored the first goal in the Club’s history at Century Link Park. Carlos Vela assisted that first goal with a beautiful pass.
4. Adama Diomande vs Colorado. October 6, 2018
Diomande scored a brace that day, but the second goal against Colorado was particularly good. This goal meant the first ever playoff qualification for LAFC.
3. Carlos Vela vs Colorado. October 6, 2019
October 6, 2019 will be set in stone for years to come, not only in the history of LAFC, but of all the MLS. During this game against the Rapids, Carlos Vela broke the record for most goals in a season while LAFC did the same for the highest numbers of points in a single season. They won the supporters shield, the first ever in their history.
For Vela it was a dream game, he scored a hat-trick in the the record-breaking match including a dazzling bicycle kick for the second goal.
2. Adama Diomande vs Galaxy. October 25, 2019
In a memorable game against arch-rival Galaxy, the three amigos Vela, Diomande and Rossi scored five goals in total. Diomande’s last goal was a stunning run to beat Galaxy for the first time in playoffs.

Even though Carlos Vela scored a brace that day, with two superb goals that left Ochoa stunned, the third goal scored in the last minute solidified LAFC’s place in their first continental final. More importantly, they beat one of Mexico’s top teams, and in style.
