Top Ten Players With Transfer Value Increase

The soccer season is for the most part over around the world, and it was a great one. Many teams were able to break championship droughts like Liga MX’s very own Cruz Azul, and many players’ values increased for the upcoming transfer market. Let’s see which players’ value grew this season. All values were obtained on transfermarkt.us.

10. Sebastian Cordova $2.64 million to $5.50 million

Cordova for the most part had a down season with Las Aguilas, however, a great Olympic Qualifying Tournament gave his value a boost.

9. Alexis Vega $2.64 million to $5.50 million

Vega was a bright spot in El Rebanos mediocre season, and like Cordova, his play in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament helped his value grow.

8. Jorge Sanchez $3.30 million to $5.50 million

Sanchez has owned Las Aguilas right flank the past two seasons playing 13 and 16 games respectively. His performances have led to his value boost.

7. Johan Vasquez $990 thousand to $6.60 million

Vasquez is another player who stood out on a disappointing team, as Los Pumas failed to reach the Liguilla but his performances bumped his value.

6. Diego Lainez $5.50 million to $8.25 million

Lainez was able to show more of his Effecto Lainez in the last quarter of La Liga being at least on the bench in 14 of Real Betis last 15 games. While nowhere near the $15.4 million they paid for him, his good form and upcoming Tri games should continue his value’s upward trend.

5. Roberto Alvarado $7.37 million to $8.25 million

The first of three Cruz Azul players on this list El Piojo found his form again which helped La Maquina break The Cruzazuleada Curse and his value in the process.

4. Orbelin Pineda $5.28 million to $$8.25 million

Pineda is the second Cruz Azul player on the list, riding not only his but the teams good form to an increase in value and the third best player in Liga MX.

3. Luis Romo $2.64 million to $$8.80 million

Romo’s meteoric rise continues as the Cruz Azul midfielder has not only helped LA MAquina lift the cup, but his play has lifted his value as well.

2. Edson Alvarez $8.80 million to $15.40 million

Another Mextranjero who solidified himself as the season went on is El Machin. Alvarez played a full 90 minutes in 10 of Ajax’s last 14 games on their way to the Eredivisie title.

1.Hirving Lozano $30.80 million to $49.50 million

Chucky is persistence personified. His tenure in Serie A seemed to be on the decline; as former manager Genaro Gattusso exiled the Mextranjero and publicly criticized his play. However, Lozano’s performances soon won over not only his manager but fans as well, and his dramatic increase in value shows it.
