El Tri fans continue to miss Cracklitos as keeps leading the way for LAFC

Halfway through the MLS season, Carlos Vela continues to be the top scorer in the league. Vela scored his 17th goal and dished out his 11th assist after  “el baile” that LAFC gave to Sporting KC 1-5 on their turf. Carlos made it just in time to play after his “team” Haiti got eliminated from the Gold  Cup on Tuesday by Mexico.

Vela’s leads the goal scorers table by a five-goal difference. Second place Zlatan Ibrahimovic has 12 goals followed by Wayne Rooney and Josef Martinez both with ten goals.

Carlitos is averaging nearly one goal per 90 minutes of play. He is 14 goals away from Josef Martinez’s record of most goals scored in one season with 31.  If he continues with this pace, he should have no problem winning the golden boot and perhaps the MVP.

The Mexican striker is not the only one living a great moment, his Black and Gold squad are crushing the league with an impressive record of 12‐4‐2. They’ve reached 40 points, 6 points ahead of their city and Western Conference rivals LA Galaxy, and 5 points more from the Eastern Conference 1st place team, Philadelphia Union. LAFC also has a plus 29 goal differential, with 44 goals in favor and only 15 against, and they have an average of 2 less played games do to MLS schedule.

Hay Dios Mio, Cracklitos! We could have used some of that magic in the Mexican National team, instead you left us with stubs for nails after chewing them off after the two last games where El Tri barely squeezed into the Final. Now we have a Mexico vs USA final and I’m not so confident that el Tri will take la Copa.
