LIGA MX WEEK 8, MONEYLINES, ODDS, PICKS, AND PARLAY
After getting rocked by Liga MX two weeks ago, I had a slight bounceback this week, but my parlay did take a beating again. With all that, here are this week’s Moneylines, Odds, Picks, and my Parlay.
THE MONEYLINES
The Monelines are accurate as of 2/28/2022 @11 a.m.
THE ODDS
Odds are provided by fivethirtyeight.com.
THE PICKS
PUEBLA VS BRAVOS
Los Camoterros remain unbeaten after rallying past Chivas. Bravos’ comeback attempt fell short against Tigres. Puebla seems to keep finding ways to remain atop the league, give me Puebla @-140.
TOLUCA VS XOLOS
Xolos seems to only beat teams atop the table, their most recent victim was the reigning champs Atlas. Toluca is looking for their first win in two weeks. I think Nacho Ambiz’s team is starting to come together, give me Toluca @+135.
LEON VS MONTERREY
Boy was I wrong on Monterrey, and now El Vasco has lost his job. Leon is enjoying a two-game winning streak. I look for Leon to continue Rayados’ woes, Leon @+155.
AMERICA VS GALLOS
Gallos followed up their first win of the tournament with a draw at home. America rescued a point CU in a dreadful match against Pumas. I look for Las Aguilas to finally put a full game together, America @-140.
MAZATLAN VS NECAXA
Mazatlan followed up a two-game winning streak with two losses, while Necaxa followed their upset of Cruz Azul with a draw and a loss. I look for both teams to split point, Draw @+240.
UANL VS CRUZ AZUL
Tigres may be the hottest team since Week two, stringing together five wins in a row. Cruz Azul followed their thumping of Toluca, with a shock last-minute loss to Santos. Hard to go against Tigres right now, UANL @+110.
ATLAS VS PACHUCA
La Academia suffered their first loss of the tournament in a shocking manner, falling to Xolos. Pachuca has not known defeat in their last four games. This one could go either way, I’m going down the middle, Draw @+215.
SANTOS VS PUMAS
Santos stole their first victory at Cruz Azul last week, UNAM has drawn their past two matches in Liga MX. Look for Los Felinos to get their first W in since Week 5. Pumas @+270.
SAN LUIS VS CHIVAS
San Luis sent El Vasco packing while picking up their second W of this tournament. Chivas is in a three-game skid in which they have allowed 8 goals in three matches. I think San Luis will claim another head coach and further Chivas’ woes. I’ll take San Luis @+165.
THE PARLAY
For my Parlay this round, I’m taking all positive moneylines. I’m going with Leon(+155), Tigres(+110), Pumas(+270), and San Luis(+165). These picks will bring our Moneyline to +5150, with our traditional wager of $100, the payout will be $5250.57
