Top 5 New Jersey’s for this Apertura 2021
With El Tri’s summer of tears behind us, Mexican soccer fans can now peacefully turn to Liga MX’s new Apertura season which is now underway. For those of you only loosely keeping tabs, you may notice some new styles on the pitch when you tune in to the games on the weekend. As is customary, all 18 teams have presented new jersey’s for this upcoming tournament. A team’s jersey as we all know is a sign of its identity. The fans identify with the jersey of their favourite team, and also with it´s colors. Most of us have opinions every time we see a new jersey of any team.
The brand participation in this last year for Liga MX showed clear domination by Charly and Pirma (two Mexican brands), followed by Puma and Nike. This year the trend seemingly continues.
Brand participation in Guard1anes 2020:
Breaking it down, we’re looking at 5 teams with Charly, 4 with Pirma, 2 with Puma and Nike and the rest of the brands being worn by one team each. This year that breakdown remains the same with the exception of Leon, who switched brands from Pirma to Charly. Now, without further ado, we present our choice for best looking jerseys this season:
