Tuzos come out on top against Zacatepec
Pachuca earned their first Copa MX win against Atletico Zacatepec in Hidalgo. Leonardo Ulloa, Roberto de la Rosa, and Victor Davila scored for the Hidalguenses, while Rodrigo Prieto put one in for Zacatepec.
The home team was able to seal the win in fourteen minutes of the first half. It all started with Leonardo Ulloa converting a penalty in the 25th minute, giving Tuzos the lead in the game.
In the 35th minute, Roberto de la Rosa made an individual play on the left side, taking a shot on goal where the ball went inside the net after hitting a defensive rival. Four minutes later, Ulloa appeared with an assist to the inside of the box, where Victor Davila connected with a header for the 3-0.
Rodrigo Prieto took advantage of bad defending from Pachuca during a corner and put in the only goal he could for his team. This result puts Pachuca as the leader of the group as Zacatepec trails behind and Atlas at the bottom.
