Worst World Cup Incident For El Tri?
With the recent “anniversary” of the infamous call against Mexico in the 2014 World Cup, the question arises, was this the worst incident to occur to El Tri in World Cups?
Our analysts Joe, Hugo, and Super Mojado discuss whether No Era Penal is the worst thing to happen to El Tri or if fans should just get over it:
Personally, I believe the worst incident if proven true, is the story that recently came to light via ex El Tri Coach Juan Carlos Osorio, that when he asked his team if they were ready for Brazil, the answer was a haunting silence. The story can be interpreted one of two ways, the Mexican players didn’t think they could go toe to toe with El Scratch Du Oro, or the team had checked out against their coach. Either way, the round of 16 is the worst time for either to happen.
Do you agree with our analysts? Should we get over the No Era Penal? If so, what incident do you think was the worst, the penalties against Bulgaria, the debackle against Germany, the Dos a Cero, the OT loss to Argentina, THe collapse against Argentina again, or the lack of heart against Brazil?
